The first brew has rolled out of the doors of Colchester Brewery and into the cellars of a number of pubs around Colchester. The first beer, called No.1 (what's the next one going to be called Tom?) is a glorious bitter which as of last night could be found in the Five Bells at Colne Engaine and The Thatcher's Arms at Mount Bures (our newly crowned Pub of the Year). The rumour mill says that by Saturday (or sooner) you'll also find a pint of No.1 at the Fat Cat, Butt Road Colchester, the New Inn on nearby South Street or the Victoria Inn on North Station Road.
You can read more about the brewery on their website at www.colchesterbrewery.com - or even better, get out to the pub and try a pint or two.
