Promising a different route - but with the same excellent lunch venue - it's Tim and Paul and thier annual luncheon ride.
We will be departing from the Bungalow Cafe, Marks Tey at 10.30 am, please arrive early should you require breakfast/coffee etc.
The ride will finish in Braintree with the option to cycle back or catch a train.
Riding along the A120 will be kept to a minimum.

A ride to Maldon to meet up with the bus-bound Second Sunday pub crawlers.
Leaders: Nigel (cycling contingent) and Ted Ted (bus rabble).
From a cycaleists point of view we will meet 10.00am at the old Maypole Pub (now a shooting and fishing outlet I believe) at the junction of Berechurch Road/Berechurch Hall Road/Bounstead Road.
We will then head to Maldon via Tiptree Tea rooms to meet with the Staggerers at 12 noon.

The annual ride to Norwich. Overnight stay in Beccles on Friday evening, then on to Norwich for Saturday at their beer festival.

We have a Cycale ride on Saturday 25th June (originally to be done by Robin, but he couldn’t make it, so it’s not on the website list) - the plan is to meet at the former Maypole pub on the junction of Berechuch Hall Road and Berechurch Road at 10.30, then an early tea stop at Abberton Nature Reserve, Little Totham, lunch at the Chequers at Goldhanger, Heybridge, Great Totham, Wickham Bishops, then the option of the train back from Witham or cycle back via Layer Breton.
Not a ride but a meeting to plan the rides for the rest of the year - bring ideas!

Next Saturday’s ride (25th March) will be out to Tattingstone and back via (probably) Stutton, Bentley, East Bergholt and Dedham. The distance will be about 35-40 miles. I won’t pre-book lunch anywhere, I’m sure we can find food somewhere on the way.
We’ll meet at the start of the Wivenhoe trail by the pedestrian crossing, (opposite the lightship), and leave at 10.30. If anyone wants to shorten the route slightly, you can get the train to Manningtree as our first stop will be Manningtree station buffet – we’ll be leaving Manningtree at around 11.30 or just after.

No official leader - look out for a meeting place nearer the time. This ride may involve crossing the Colne to Rowhedge by ferry, or we might ride around indigenerics.com.

Starting from Manningtree. Led by Brian. Lunch at Tattingstone, followed by a game of pentanque at the Wheatsheaf. How very gentlemanly!
Start from Manningtree station at 10.30 (which would allow this who arrive by train to get the 10.23 from Colchester
Lunch is booked for 1 pm at the Wheatsheaf followed by petanque
There will be a stop on the way and we will be popping into the Ark at Brantham on the way back followed by the Red Lion for those who wish to!
The now annual excursion led by Tim & Paul, and a further episode in their project to approach the Compasses at Littley Green from every possible route and direction.

We will meet at Colchester North Station at 0950 which will allow ample time to negotiate the best deal on train tickets before catching 1012 train to Witham.
From there we will cycle through the picturesque Essex countryside whilst being sun kissed by the beautiful English weather.
